BSAC COURSES

TEKSTREME can offer the following range of BSAC Technical courses:

Nitrox Diver Course

This is an introduction to recreational Nitrox diving for no-stop diving only. It is open to those with a minimum qualification of Ocean Diver for the use of Nitrox 32 and 36. Depth limits for Nitrox Diver level fall in line with Sport diver limits. This course can be taught in one day and is a dry course.

Advanced Nitrox Course

This course covers the use of richer Nitrox mixtures (up to 50%) as a diving gas and a decompression gas and practical skills of decompression stop diving. You will be shown the benefits of rich mixtures in shallow depths for longer dives, using air tables or computers in order to get an extra safety factor when decompressing. It is open to Sports Divers with 20 logged dives and a Nitrox Diver certification. The course covers theory and two dives over two days.

Combined Nitrox Course

This is a combination of the Nitrox and Advanced Nitrox diver courses. Normally the courses are taken in the order shown however these can be combined to make a two day intensive course.

Extended Range Course

This is a deep diving course (50metres) using richer Nitrox mixes (up to 80%) as a decompression gas and advanced deep diving skills. This course is open to those with a minimum qualification of Sport diver and Advanced Nitrox diver and can be completed in three days. Three dives plus theory sessions are required.

Inspiration/Evolution CCR Course

The objective of this course is to teach divers how to dive safely using the APD Inspiration/Evolution rebreather. You will be taught the relevant knowledge, preparation and in water skills to dive the rebreather down to a maximum depth of 40metres. Students must be a minimum age of 18, Advanced Nitrox diver and proof of 50 logged dives. Course duration is 5-6 days.
