RED SEA TEK DIVING SAFARIS

Seven-day liveaboard safaris give the perfect opportunity to discover and explore some unknown wrecks and reefs of the Red Sea.

Leaving from Sharm El Sheikh, the week is spent diving on unspoiled deep wrecks around the Straits of Gubal, breath-taking drop-offs in the Ras Mohammed Marine Park and long penetration dives on world-class wrecks like the Thistlegorm or the Rosalie Moller.

The water temperature and the dive sites make it possible to do two dives in one:

The first part being a deep dive exploring a wreck, a surprising canyon or an astonishing wall in crystal clear water. The second part of the same dive is spent in shallow water, swimming around colourful coral reefs, teeming with marine life, while completing the decompression stops.

Night dives are also a great opportunity to discover surprising wrecks in shallower water.

Important Note:
This trip is only open to certified and experienced Tek divers as some dive sites are deep and beyond the capabilities and range of the recreational diver.
It is designed to fulfil the needs of Extended Range and Trimix divers, using open circuit scuba or rebreather.
The dive sites are selected according to the experience, qualification and wishes of our guests.

The safari boat is specially adapted to offer a full range of Tek diving services:
  • Comfortable diving area, with convenient ladders, large boat deck with ample space. For obvious reasons, the trip is limited to a maximum of 8 divers, on a boat with a 14-person capacity.
  • A very helpful crew, ready to provide you with the most enjoyable diving environment, to help you exit the water or carry heavy gear.
  • All types of mixes (from Nitrox to Trimix) blended by a certified gas blender according to your needs.
  • CCR-friendly services with the possibility to get Sodalime, batteries, O2 sensors or spare parts on board (on request).
  • All the necessary equipment on board (Analysers, deco station, tow lines, one Nitrox and two Air compressors).
  • A very well equipped rental department, if you have any particular needs (all Tek gear, lift bags, computers, CCR Inspiration, SCR Dolphin).
  • Reliable first aid procedures and equipment. All our crew is trained to understand the specific needs and procedures of Tek divers.
  • An experienced guide who can also train you, if needed, to specific techniques (mixed gas diving, rebreather, advanced wreck penetration).
  • Comfortable cabins and lounge with VCR, TV and music… and the much appreciated food and drink.

PLEASE NOTE:

ALL THE ABOVE ROUTES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE DEPENDING ON A NUMBER OF FACTORS WHICH INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • The weather
  • The time of the year (Length of daylight hours)
  • The ability & experience levels of the divers
  • Any special needs of the guests (training sites, specific depths etc)
It should also be made clear that on the southern routes divers will be a long way from the nearest medical recompression facility (up to 12 hours at the furthest points). In Egypt you cannot rely on any speedy air evacuation, but must assume on the safari boat having return to the nearest port for an evacuation by road.

In addition, the 2 southern routes involve A LOT of travelling, with up to 12 hours at a time of overnight travelling times, and up to 6 hours travelling in the daytime on occasions.
